Boreal has led the planning and execution of over 200 winter drilling programs in Alberta, coordinating with industry proponents and multiple stakeholders. These programs require comprehensive integration of Indigenous and regulatory input, and submission of Crown applications.

Key project management responsibilities included:

• Scoping and budgeting for complex, multi-season projects.
• Securing permits and third-party agreements.
• Coordinating cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, ecologists, First Nations crews, and equipment operators.
• Managing construction supervision, environmental compliance, and reporting.

Boreal has consistently delivered successful outcomes in remote and logistically complex environments:

Birch Mountains Reclamation (2023): We established a remote camp and mobilized crews and materials via fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter to repair erosion along 400m of linear disturbance while preserving surrounding regeneration.

Piezometer Abandonments (>50 km from access): In coordination with First Nations, Boreal identified local ATV trails, planned safe helicopter ingress/egress, and used UTV-portable equipment to abandon wells with minimal surface disturbance.

These examples demonstrate our capacity to manage:

• Remote access planning (including frozen conditions, watercourse crossings).
• Air and ground-based logistics for equipment, crews, and materials.
• Emergency and safety planning in isolated field locations.

We have led multiple projects requiring deployment and optimization of heavy equipment for linear disturbance and recontouring:

Plant Site Reclamation (~7 ha): Supervised placement of subsoil and topsoil using 30 & 40-ton excavators, D3 & D6 bulldozers, and rock trucks to restore proper drainage and prepare for reforestation across multiple ecosites.

Legacy Winter Access Reclamation: Mobilized heavy equipment across an ice bridge and constructed watercourse crossings to complete earthworks and reforestation of a legacy sump in a Key Wildlife and Biodiversity Zone (KWBZ).

• Across these projects, Boreal demonstrated the ability to:
• Select appropriate equipment for sensitive terrain.
• Sequence and optimize machine use to meet tight seasonal windows.

Boreal specializes in the execution of ecosite-specific reforestation plans:

Multispecies Reforestation Project: Oversaw the collection and ordering of seed, coordination of nursery grow-outs, and planting of ~14 species. Conducted establishment monitoring and infill planting to ensure density and diversity targets were met.

Legacy Site Planting: Used helicopters to deliver seedlings and crews to remote planting sites. Boreal has experience in both mechanized and hand-planting methods, including summer infill under challenging conditions.

Our silviculture programs have achieved high success rates due to:

• Tailored species selection based on ecosite assessments.
• Close supervision and QA/QC of planting crews.
• Use of monitoring to guide adaptive management and ensure regulatory compliance.
